I know this isn't how this website works but I wanted to leave a message, as Rohan's daughter, to let you all know how much it means to us to read all these wonderful tributes and messages that capture Dad and his legacy.
I remember when we worried about Dad for a hot minute there when he was unemployed, knowing full well he wasn't planning to retire any time soon. So it was then comforting to watch him find his people and place within Hillrom-Baxter. He loved what he did and even more so, he adored and respected the people he worked alongside with.
These beautiful messages capture Dad as a human being - and it truly warms my heart that we were able to share our Dad with you all.
There will forever be a Dad sized hole in our lives but knowing that you all knew him for his kindness, integrity and wisdom confirms to me that he's touched not only our lives, but so many others.
Thank you again.
On behalf of Rohan's wife Lorraine, my sister Michelle and myself (Naomi)
(Found some photos of Dad when he had hair - the same unruly curls he passed on to my sister and I)

Cooktown is deeply sadened to hear the loss of this beautiful soul. We loved dealing with Rohan. He was so passionate and genuine about his work. All staff would comment on how lovely Rohan was and they learnt so much in his impromptu training sessions. No problem was too big or small, such a gentleman. Condolences to his family and close friends. He will be missed and always remembered.

As we gather to celebrate the life of Rohan, I'd like to take a moment to reflect on his time with Hillrom/Baxter and the impact he had on those around him.
Rohan was a dedicated and valued member of the Hillrom/Baxter team, having spent the last 8 years contributing to the company's mission. During his time here, he formed meaningful connections with his colleagues and clients, and I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to get to know him over the past 2 and half years.
Rohan was more than just a colleague; he was a true gentleman and a team player who always put the needs of others first. He had a selfless attitude and was always willing to lend a helping hand. I will always remember how, in our team meetings, if there was some help or assistance required, Rohan was the first person to put his name up to help. His willingness to assist and support his fellow engineers was truly admirable.
To Rohan's family, friends, and loved ones, I offer my sincerest condolences during this difficult time. May the memories of Rohan's life, his accomplishments, and his unwavering spirit bring you comfort and peace.
As we say goodbye to Rohan, let us take a moment to appreciate the time we had with him and the impact he had on our lives. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched, and his memory will be a source of inspiration for us all.
On behalf of the entire Baxter Family, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to Rohan's family. We will always remember him in our prayers and cherish the memories we shared with him. His dedication, kindness, and generosity will not be forgotten. We will miss him dearly, but we take comfort in knowing that his legacy will continue to inspire us to be better colleagues and friends.
Rest in peace, Rohan. Your presence will be deeply missed.

My deepest condolences to Rohan’s family, friends and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time. The news of his unexpected passing has deeply saddened all of us.
Rohan was a true pillar of support, particularly in his unwavering commitment to the Northern Territory Health and more directly, the Royal Darwin Hospital. His dedication to ensuring the highest standard of care and service was evident in everything he did.
Rohan approached his work with remarkable compassion, kindness and professionalism. Whether he was solving complex issues or offering a helping hand, he did so with a calm and generous spirit that made a lasting impact on everyone around him. His presence brought a sense of reliability and warmth that will be sorely missed.
With heartfelt sympathy, I extend my deepest thoughts and wishes to Rohan and the Wijeratne family.

My sincere condolences to Rohan's wife, daughters and extended family. Rohan was a gentle, sincere, humble gentleman. Always polite, respectful and courteous. It's no coincidence that his customers loved his approach and working with him.
Taken far too young and so unexpectedly 😪

Rohan had been my North Qld technician since he started. I finally had an awesome technician in my territory that my customers respected and loved. I love reading that everyone mentions how much of a gentleman he was. That is how I will always remember him. A kind hearted, friendly gentleman with a big smile. I last saw him the week before his passing and he gave me a big hug as we often do not cross paths as much as everyone would think working in the same territory. He really was so excited to be going on his holiday. His passing was such a shock as I know Rohan was a healthy person. I was always trying to buy him a soft drink or some naughty take away food if we were in same Hospital, but he always only asked for water. I was always trying to fatten him up. I loved our High Tea Xmas catch up we did with his beautiful wife and I will hold that memory close to my heart. I have been contacted by so many of our Hospital clients last week and this week who all are shocked of his passing. Rohan will be greatly missed by all customers who crossed path with him on a regular basis and by all of us work colleagues that had the pleasure of working with him and knowing him. My deepest condolences, love and thoughts go out to his beautiful wife and daughters and to all his family and friends. You must be so proud of the beautiful man Rohan was and no doubt he will be sending you signs that he is always by your side.

I was so sad and shocked to hear of Rohan's passing. I worked with Rohan when I was the HillRom Educator here in Far North Queensland. More recently I would often see him in the Cairns Hospital and he never passed me without saying hello. He was a true gentleman. My thoughts are with his family at this very sad time.

This photo was taken when Ingham flooded years ago and we both drove for 10 hour's on back dirt roads to get to Townsville and neither of us knew we were both driving same road, and all of sudden i am on a dirt road driving behind the Amazing HillRom Logo. He's been my work buddy for so long and my customers are going to miss him so much. He was so excited to be going on Holidays in 10 days. Just a Gentleman with a happy smile. I will so miss him.

It with great sadness that we pay our respects to Rohan Wijeratne who passed away suddenly on the 20th of March 2025 whilst travelling for work.
Rohan joined Hillrom in June 2017 and was brought into Baxter as part of the acquisition. Rohan was a Senior Engineer in the Field with Tech Services and was a valued teammate and friend to those he worked with.
