Thea Sophia, You were such a special selfless and caring woman, that inspired many. You always welcomed me with such warm hugs and plenty of kisses. I will never forget the amount of times all you would tell me is how much you love me and how beautiful i am, i will cherish these moments forever. I was so lucky to grow up being able to call you my Thea. Although you’re in a much better place now with Theo Chris, Yiaya and papou who will no doubt welcome you with open arms whenever you end up, Fly high angel We love you forever 🤍👼🏼

Thea Sophie, You were so very special to all of us and you will be truely missed by absolutely everyone. I am going to miss you so much. I love you with my whole heart and I know you’ll be living it up with Thio Chris and Poppy. I love you to the moon and back my angel and until we meet again 🌹👼🏼

I write this with the heaviest of hearts. Thea, you were the most selfless, kind, caring woman I have ever met. You were always there for anyone that needed you. I was the luckiest person to be able to call you my thea, but not only that you also were my mum, a grandmother to my kids and we all adored you with all our hearts. I’ll keep all our memories so close to my heart. You have taught me so much in life and for that I’ll forever be grateful. Never would I expect not to be there with my family in this sad time. Never would I expect that I couldn’t be there to say goodbye. You can now Rest In Peace with thio Chris and everyone else that we have lost along the way. Give mum, dad and thio Chris a big kiss and hug from me. Love you thea till the day after forever xxx

Thia Sophia you are an amazing inspirational woman who always has a warm hug and lots of kisses and made the best Spanikopita.I grew up in Prospect St and only lived a few houses away but you always looked out for me and to tell me how much you loved me. You are now going to be with Thio Chris and your brother Bill (Dad) whom you loved both so very much. I'm sorry we couldn't come to Sydney to say goodbye. God Bless You and you will be missed but you will remain in my thoughts everyday. Love you so very muchxxx

For many, a funeral is a ritual of loss and connection where we remember our loved ones who have passed and comfort the living. The coronavirus outbreak has altered that ritual and changed the way we say goodbye: the loss remains, the connections change.

The family has the difficult decision of which ten people will attend the funeral. They are aware that many of you would like to attend but unfortunately, due to the restrictions in place, it is not possible.

Following the service, a replay of the service, as well as a video presentation of Sophia's' life in pictures, will be available for viewing.
