TFN & ABN application

As the estate is a separate tax entity, it needs to obtain its own TFN and ABN with the Tax Office. Chan & Naylor can assist you if you are applying for a TFN on behalf of a deceased estate. A deceased estate is also entitled to an ABN if the executor or administrator is carrying on an enterprise to finalise the estate affairs. Note that an ABN held by a deceased person as a sole trader should not be quoted for business purposes.
