I know you would of been astonished and extremely please I know it's made you very happy too, but I need you to know I'm so sorry that I couldn't forfill all your wishes, I have so much regret and sorrow I couldn't give you the help you needed and that you didnt get your wish to die on the land where you wished to be and instead died in hospital where you'd never wanted to. How can a Light that burned so brightly suddenly burn so pale? I was just listening to the song Bright Eyes thinking of it's meaning and thinking of you like I always am. I know you've faded from this world and you're still shinning Eternally brightly elsewhere, but I'm still shocked and heartbroken from saying goodbye and miss you so very much, it's hard going into another year without you. But in the Spirit of your strength and tribute to you Dad I'll relive a beautiful memory I have of us two one New Years Eve singing Pink Floyd song together.

Dear Dad,
I still miss you terribly, its been so hard, I still wake and realise its real, that you're not here anymore. I know one thing in life is certain and that is dying. I used to cry as a child thinking of that day, as i grew i would be sad thinking about it and i hoped that by aging the pain would be less, but its not, it feels exactly like I thought it would and nothing is getting any better, its like i have no choice but to live with it.

I wrote a letter to god when i was very young with all our family's names on it saying i want to see them again after they've all passed away then i couldnt find the letter so i like to tell myself god came and took it to show me it when it was my time and to make good with it too, sure i have memories of you that i cherish but the realisation of never seeing you again on earth is so hard to bare.

Firstly, thanks for setting the toughness bar so high you bastard. I thought dad was a hard act to follow!!. Seriously mate, you wouldn't believe it, but the amount of times I've thought "what would Chris do" whenever I was in strife doesn't bear thinking about. Most of the times I'd come up short, but that just made the successful attempts sweeter.. I'm so sorry I never got the chance to let you know how many positive things came from being your little brother, but let me sum it like this.. I've bought a Triumph motorbike and every time I ride it I wring its neck as a nod to absent friends.

Dad, not an hour goes by that I don't think of you, I love and miss you with all of my heart! <3 <3 <3 The only consolation I have living without you is that you always said you had rotten luck, you know we've spent countless hours talking about your luck and sometimes you'd remember some of the incredible luck you had in those talks lol, you'd say Sam next to your luck I'd had pretty bad luck too, you know from 2008 our conversation would have me debating with you about creating reality, karma etc lol xx <3 Well here I am in a world that seems to have gone to hell in a hand basket without you, this has been the most rotten year of my life ! The Day you left...With tears, we saw you suffer as we watched you fade away Our hearts were close to breaking, as you fought so hard to stay, we know you had to leave us, but you never went alone, as part of us went with you, the day you left your home. I miss you dad, We bury mum tomorrow (it's so hard 2 in 2 months) i want to also thank you, I asked for you to find me a car really close to home because my car was playing up, in fact down right defective, it was a test to see if you could hear me so i said ok dad this is the test, but i hadnt taken notice of a car that had been sitting about 1 week after you passed,,i noticed it hadn't moved for about 2months and went to enquire about it(it started to get cobwebs on it) I was told her daughter wasn't selling it but the mother told me she was selling her car, its everything i ever wanted, auto,with manual wind up windows, a toyota, pristine straight, i was so happy its only done 140 000 ks.it was YOU there is no denying this because i asked you,if you can see me show me and it was so close it was literally across the road, thanks dad this was not a coincidence..

Dad, I miss you so much, it's not getting easier it's getting harder, I feel empty. I want to be with you. I hope you have got the answers to all the questions about life that we spoke about. I hope the answers are positive. I have a video clip of Beverly hills that I filmed, you're so funny dad, I love you so much, I like to listen to what you say, it cheers me up for a minute, it reminds me of how funny you are. No one's life is perfect that's why we are here, to learn, but what you did with aplomb was emotionally connecting with us. James is always raving about you too, how proud he is to be a Henwood. Like me he also feels blessed just by being a part of you. He was 21 last week (12th April) and now he gets a key to the house. Well dad, here we are. I only just realised that I write my first and last words to you with sadness and regret. Here, I will open my heart and share with you the little things that I am most grateful for. You introduced to me my first love, “horses”. They set me free, gave me courage, strength and responsibility. You also had a love for horses and understanding. You taught me how to drive, we went around the block a few times, you said “just keep practising, you’re a natural” and that was it, never judged. I could talk to you about anything, you never grew old, you were a natural story teller. You would say, “If you don’t have anything in life, at least have manners” Once I remove the sadness of a life mostly lived, I realised I will never be able to come to you for help, guidance or wisdom, no more words spoken. To Dear Dad, Words can not begin to express what I feel but I will give it a try. I have dreaded this day all my life, and now it is here. I know you know but I will remind you again that I loved you so so so so very much. I can still hear your voice and laugh, I still see your face . These memories will never fade . Thank you for being the aware and conscious individual being that you were! <3 I believe with all my heart and soul that you lived your soul purpose; because you only followed your own inner voice and heart! <3 You walked the road least traveled UNWAVERING Bravery, strength, courage, compassion, kindness, loyally, truth and freewill were your convictions and you stood by them right till your last breath!
