Dearest Carmen, it is with sadness that we bid farewell to your worldly body today. You have not really passed away until you are no longer remembered you will be remembered by many for many years to come. Your smile, your generosity, your thoughtfulness. Our friendship had a bumpy start, but once it got going we enjoyed each other's company. Our trip to Peru and our time in Chile certainly cemented that love and friendship. Hasta manana mi amigo. Love Always, Noel Bradey

I came to know Carmen through her son Michael. As beautiful a mum as the bowl of roses on her dining table. She showed her selflessness and caring in many ways, from her preparing and sharing of meals, her concern for her children and her love of Pituca, to passing on her family recipe for making Cola de Mono. Carmen, we remember you with love, today and always.

Stories do not end. We keep them written in our hearts. Looking forward to getting together, sharing and hearing stories of Carmen and her wonderful life. Love from Andrew, Emy, Ben, Lauren & Cameron

For many, a funeral is a ritual of loss and connection where we remember our loved ones who have passed and comfort the living. The coronavirus outbreak has altered that ritual and changed the way we say goodbye: the loss remains, the connections change.

The family has the difficult decision of which ten people will attend the funeral.  They are aware that many of you would like to attend but unfortunately, due to the restrictions in place, it is not possible.

Following the funeral on Wednesday, a link to the funeral service and a video celebrating Carmen's life will be available for your viewing.
