Hello to all my Fayers cousins and Pammy,

As mentioned to Peter it was difficult for me to get to Geoffrey’s funeral today so I was grateful to have the video link.

It was a lovely ceremony and such a warm and loving tribute to him.   I only crossed paths with Geoff on a few occasions in life – a few times in early childhood and then a big gap until his 50th birthday party at Fred’s place which he seemed to enjoy immensely.  Another couple of brief encounters for Uncle George’s birthday parties in more recent decades.

He always came across as a very kind and gentle character with a sense of fun and always greeted me with enthusiasm and reminisced about my parents and I remember how proudly Auntie Beat would tell us of all his achievements over the years.

He obviously had a very impressive career and was a source of inspiration for others.  I’m sure that a lifetime of loving support from his siblings and in more recent times from Pammy was also instrumental in helping him with those achievements.

The photos were great – all the childhood ones brought back memories and it seems he was quite a character in his younger (adult) years!

My heartfelt condolences to you all, you have obviously lost someone special in your lives.

With love and sympathy,    Lynne Cook (Peacock)
