Dear Anne,Chris Stan and family, my heart and all my love are with you in this time of loss and sadness. Your mum will be remembered by many with deep affection, for to know her was to love her. So many wonderful memories of her sweet and gentle manner, her loving and generous nature, she was the purest of souls. may she rest in peace.

Rest In Peace Yaiyia, thank you for everything you have done, including taking care of me and allowing us to bicker and argue and destroy your home while you cooked for us every Monday after school. Maria will always be remembered as a kind and gentle soul. Her infectious smile and sense of humour were her most endearing qualities and never failed to surface even when times were tough. Her gentle persona masked an enduring strength and stoicism.

Our family will always be grateful to Maria and husband Nick for sponsoring her brother Leonidas to come to Australia. This forever bonded the two families and changed many lives for the better. 
To Stan, Chris, Anne and families, we share in your sadness and sense of profound loss and hope you find some comfort in knowing that your mother touched all our lives and will live on in our memories.
